sounds to me like they're trying to keep people in the "head start" event from actually getting a HEAD START on anything productive.

These are new keys, brand new today. So if they didn't have them, or couldn't give them, they can now. I just followed a link and found stores offering other goodies, too!
Hope to see you at Day of the Tengu!

I demand some Australian love, we didn't get any preorder packages shipped.

I just hope that they dont make reciving the masks be at timed intervals like the holiday events, as everyone will be treated as in the time zone.. which would be kinda insane.

I'm just going to throw in with the rest of us who thinks that having the head-start on Thursday and the official start on Friday is a completely sucky decision. It could barely be more inconvenient, both for people who work and people who go to school. I'm sure, though, that it's rather convenient for those who work on the game itself, as the number of people joining up on Thu and Fri will be mitigated a bit, and the dev team can start pumping out the inevitable needed fixes during the regular work week.
So, for me, the head start is pretty much a non-event.

It seems like in 90% of your posts, you are complaining about something, it's kind of annoying.
I can't wait to get a mask for my ranger. Can we start new characters in Cantha and get masks for them the same day too? Because im making a A/W that I want to get a mask for.

I have the preorder and everything so I'm good to go for the mask but I do agree that it's kind of a bad call to have an event on that day. There could be stability issues for one... and I love in game events but having a day headstart is reward enough if you ask me. I rather the move this in-game event back a month or maybe make it this weekend or next weekend so everyone can join in.

Heh, I just got my pre-order key. I actually got it delievered a few weeks ago to my home, but I'm here at college. I didn't think I'd miss much from missing early access, but I like the sound of this new headgear. I had to get both my parents trying to figure out what the access code was over the phone.

Yeah, I just checked my school attendance records and if I miss another day I will be held back. But I should still get to experience the last 8 hours or so of the event which has to be long enough to get at least one mask.

My school is taking a trip to Washington. I have the rest of today to finish amassing my gold and ascend my mesmer, then I have tomorrow in school, and then I'll be home for 4 days (I'm not going). This will be awesome...
edit: poor you Vahn. They can't hold me back unlesss I miss over 30 days and have below average grades. I've missed around 14 and have awesome grades. Do they work like that at your school?

Yes, but the extra slots will be removed in 10 days if you don't add a retail factions key.
